I was born in Czech Republic, where I lived most of my life. Since I was a little child, I always wanted to have a dog. However, my parents resisted strongly, so no matter how much I wished for one, I was not allowed to have a dog. I had rabbits, guinea pigs, budgies, pigeons and fish, but no dogs. Once I became partly independent (started working), I got my first dog from rescue. It was a male Czechoslovakian wolfdog and with him started my obsession with wolfdogs and wolves. Later I bought Cira, and moved away from my family to start new life. It was not easy, but eventually the conditions were good enough to allow us to think about our first litter of puppies. I registered my kennel Vlci sen at CMKU at Prague in 2000, and in October 2002 came our first puppies of Cira and Jerry Lee. One year later, we planned new litter, this time we went all the way to Austria to visit a nice male. Unfortunatelly, something went wrong during end of Cira´s pregnancy and instead of puppies, we had to make Caesarian and worse, forced castration to avoid further problems. That was end of hopes for any further pups from Cira. Few years later, I have moved to Belgium and again, the conditions allowed me to buy a new puppy. I travelled from Brussels all the way to Slovakia for my new puppy - the hope of the kennel. It was Ali. My plans were for her as friend of Cira, but also new breeding female for the kennel. I planned to work with her and show her. But the fate was not on my side this time either. Ali was about nine months old, when we learned she suffers heavy dysplasia. Not only that makes her non-suitable for breeding, but her condition (problems with movement) also disable her from dog shows and active training. Living in apartement in Brussels, two big dogs was maximum. So the kennel Vlci sen was dormant, till something happens. That something came in the chance of moving to the countryside, where we live now. Spacious chalet with 4000m2 of terrain, that´s a paradise for not only our wolfdogs. And so came Tulip, the pyrenees. And this time it seems, I was finally lucky (I have to knock it on the wood though, quickly). Tulip is healthy, Tulip is beautiful, Tulip is winning shows and people´s hearts. And so the plans came back, at least for shows and breeding and active "doggy" events. On 12th January 2010, kennel Vlci sen was registered in Belgium under St.Hubertus. Our goal is to breed healthy, friendly and beautiful pyrenees mountain dogs, with Tulip as our future breeding female. Time will show, if the plans will come true.
